Call for Submissions – Give: An Anthology of Anatomical Entries

GIVE: An Anthology of Anatomical Entries book coverGive – An Anthology of Anatomical Entries
Edited by Michelle Kilmer and T.J. Tranchell

GIVE is the first in a two-part anthology about organ donation. The stories in GIVE will focus on the donor. Publication date is set for February 14th, 2015 (National Donor Day).

Call for Submissions General Info

We want you to think beyond the traditional organs that get donated. Consider those parts of the human that come in pairs but aren’t necessarily donated. Everything is shareable, transplantable and rejectable, if you are creative.

We will be including only one story per body part, so if you are going to write about a more common body part, the story had better be special. Stories should be darker in nature. Horror, sci-fi, and dark humor are all appreciated.

Crypticon Seattle – Seattle’s Premier Horror Convention

We are back from another successful and amazing adventure at Crypticon Seattle. Our tired bodies, sore throats, and Tim Long branded arms are testament to the time we had. As many of you know, When the Dead Books attended last year’s Crypticon as first time vendors selling both of our books. And the year prior, we came as attendees and passed out flyers promoting When the Dead, which I hadn’t finished yet. 2014 was different for us. In the past year we have made so many new friends via social media from our other projects and returning to vend again we got to see friends made last year at the event as well as meet some people in real life who had only been digital previously. It felt like ten minutes wouldn’t pass before another friendly face would stop by our booth to say hi. Here are some of the memorable things from our weekend in summary form, as the items with stories are too long to tell (and I can’t promise they’ll all make sense). Followed by pictures!
